We present artists whose practices are defined by materiality, spatial awareness and a strong sense of authorship. Rather than isolating disciplines, we create environments in which works exist in relation. To space. To objects. To people. Our programme is shaped by the belief that meaning does not arise in isolation, but in context.

FORGING THE SUN AND WEAVING THE MOON
By Lotte EkkelDrawing on Chinese philosophy and the dynamic balance between opposing forces such as yin and yang, Lotte Ekkel’s photographs explore moments shaped by light, atmosphere and quiet observation.
Working primarily with natural light and found situations, her images move between intention and intuition, where reflections, shadows and colour quietly unfold.
The series will be presented by NewHouse this spring at MIA Photo Fair, Milan, and Art Rotterdam.

Newhouse gallery presents a curation contemporary art and collectible design, with a focus on women artists. Mick Nieuwenhuis started as an agent for women artists in 2021 to take part in bridging the gap between men and women in the art scene.
